Ex-teacher's child porn case: $500K bond

ASHLAND – A $500,000 cash bond was ordered for a former Loudonville-Perrysville teacher accused of video recording his kindergarten students using the bathroom.

Elliot Gornall is also barred from contacting the 25 victims, being in contact with any other minors and using any device with Internet access, Ashland Judge Ronald Forsthoefel said Monday at Gornall's 15-minute video arraignment.

Gornall's attorney Andrew Hyde entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, though Gornall was also present.

He was arrested Friday and faces 23 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance and two counts of attempted use of a minor in such material. Between August 20 and November 18 Gornall used a pinpoint spy camera to film 16 female students and seven males using the restroom, and tried to get photographs of two other males, the complaint said.
