Virginia man charged with driving to Ohio to have sex with teenager

1/28/2015 By Eric Heisig

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Leesburg, Virginia man who sent child pornography to an undercover investigator and traveled to the Cleveland area with the intent of having sex with a 13-year-old girl was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday.

David Vickers is charged with distribution of child pornography, enticement and travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct. He was arrested on Jan. 5, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint says Vickers talked to an undercover investigator posing as a 29-year-old mother and her teenage daughter. He first talked to the investigator on the social networking website Experience Project.

Investigators say Vickers admitted to sending child pornography during the chats, but said the files were given to him by somebody else.

He is being held in federal custody while his case is pending.

According to the complaint:

Vickers started communicating with the investigator on Dec. 12 and asked to find out more about the teenage daughter.

Vickers sent a picture of his driver's license. He attempted to black out information, but the investigator was able to make out his name, according to the complaint.

After talking on the phone, Vickers arranged to continue communicating on the messaging program Kik. He continued to talk about "breeding" the 13-year-old and sent videos depicting child pornography and bestiality and said he had sexually assaulted a child.

Vickers had also posted on Experience Project that he was looking for "younger girls" and that he was "looking for a lovely lady to breed with."
